A Brief History

Much of the Shasta Region’s historical archives have been lost over the years. Porsche owners and co-owners petitioned for a charter as an official region of the Porsche Club of America, Inc. on July 6, 1978. The name of the region was to be the PCA Shasta Region, and 25 member signatures were required for the petition.

On July 11, 1978, the charter was approved. The original territory consisted of Del Norte, Trinity, Shasta, Siskiyou, Modoc, Butte, Tehama, Glenn, and Lassen counties. The original bylaws were adopted in March of 1979.

Over the years, the club has grown from a handful of members into a vibrant community of 150 drivers, each contributing stories, expertise, and a passion for the Porsche brand.
